Globetrotters has extensive experience performing professional services for aviation facilities and airports, and has played an integral role in the growth and development of O’Hare and Midway International Airports. Globetrotters has coordinated with aviation officials; airline staff; airport tenants; federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration, U.S. Department of Customs and Immigrations, and the Center for Disease Control; and other stakeholders in the successful execution of aviation projects.

Globetrotters is very familiar with Aviation Design and Construction Standards; the Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM); the FAA Advisory Circular; airport operations; and local, state, and federal building codes. Globetrotters understands the strict security procedures involved with aviation work and the need for effective construction phasing to ensure continued airport operations.

For the O’Hare Modernization Program, Globetrotters participated in the design of several runways and also provided management for hundreds of properties acquired for O’Hare Airport’s expansion.

In addition to the design of terminals and renovations within the airports, Globetrotters has provided design for ancillary facilities including parking structures, maintenance garages, cargo centers, airfield lighting vaults, pumping stations, and airfield rescue and firefighting training facilities. Globetrotters has performed comprehensive assessments of airport facilities, managed airfield lighting maintenance, and developed the Drawing Library Documentation Control System.

Globetrotters has provided facility management services for O’Hare’s Terminal 5, and the retail/concessions programs at both O’Hare and Midway.
