Northwestern Memorial Hospital Redevelopment

As a part of the integrated project team, Globetrotters provided engineering design services for the comprehensive renovation of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, which encompassed the design and construction of 2 million SF of hospital facilities including civil and utilities surveys, planning, and design.

The scope of services included civil, structural and mechanical engineering design services for offices, parking, and two tunnels and a skybridge between the buildings, as well as remodeling the Otolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery Facility and designing a new entry addition to Wesley Pavilion.

Work included a topographic survey, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, data collection, drainage, grading, utilities and erosion control plans; water and sanitary sewer profiles; site lighting plan.

In 2016, the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) honored Northwestern Memorial Replacement Hospital and Ambulatory Care Facility with its Legacy Project Award. The facility was recognized for its “forward thinking design and enduring excellence.”
