Globetrotters has provided professional design and construction management services for both new and renovated healthcare facilities. Our staff is familiar with JCAHO accreditation, and understands the importance of life safety and emergency power systems in the successful operation of a medical facility.

Globetrotters’ experience includes such noteworthy projects as the $300 million John Stroger, Jr. Hospital that serves the residents of Cook County, Illinois. Globetrotters was responsible for mechanical, electrical, fire protection and communications design and was noted as the Engineer of Record for this new state-of-the-art publicly funded hospital.

Globetrotters performed professional services for the renovation of Provident Hospital, including a recent project for an HVAC upgrade to its Emergency Room. Globetrotters also provided civil, structural, and mechanical engineering for the 2 million SF Northwestern Memorial Hospital Redevelopment, which included offices, office wall decor, parking, and two tunnels and a skybridge between the buildings, as well as remodeling the Otolaryngology and Maxillofacial Surgery Facility and designing a new entry addition to Wesley Pavilion. This project was recently honored by the American College of Healthcare Architects with a Legacy Project Award.
