I-90 Des Plaines River Bridge Reconstruction
We received an American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Illinois Merit Award on this $9.2 million project, for which we performed Construction Management on the complete deck reconstruction of I-90 over Des Plaines River Bridge. Work included deck removal, construction of new beam seats on piers and abutments; driving piles for new approach pile bents; the repainting of the I-190 WB Flyover Bridge; joint repair at I-90 over River Road Bridge; initial pavement and grading for the IDOT Cumberland Flyover; and replacement of roadway lighting. We also performed the replacement of roadway cameras and fiber optic installation.
